The final days are bittersweet

So Intermezzo....unbelievable! It was definitely the perfect way to end the internship! Pictures will definitely be included on this one! The location of the show was called the Javits Center. Needless to say it was gigantic!!I had a great time helping out all of the reps and walking around to see all the other booths! There were sooo many booths! There were some important meetings with Saks Direct and Anthropologie. The Anthro girls were dressed so freakin cute! Sunday was pretty steady, Monday was out of control, and Tuesday was a little slow. I got to total all the orders at the end of the day...lets just say they done good. I modeled a bit and helped them when things got crazy. I mainly was at the front with Betsy checking appointments in, organizing people with their reps, and bringing in new accounts. The people/fashion watching was epic. Across the way from us was Rock and Republic and they had this drop dead gorgeous model although she was about 6 feet tall and 90 lbs. I couldn't stop staring; it was the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. The last day was the greatest though. Hillary told me to pick out a pair of jeans and two tees and she'd pay for it! I freaked! Thennnnn, I wanted to order more and she gave me 50% off wholesale on those! It was so exciting!
I had a beach day with my Mom on Wednesday at Point Lookout! It was so beautiful and the perfect final beach day! We had a great dinner out too and finished the night with Carvel Cake (aka greatest icecream bday cake on the Earth!) Thursday I went back into the city for a final day of shopping! I was also able to get some great shots of Greenwich Village and the Soho area. I got some great cheap tops, some cool safety pin studded earrings (that was difficult to explain in a cool fashion), vintage levi shorts, and this gorgeous black silk chiffon grecian one-shouldered cocktail dress! I got it at Intermix, which is a designer boutique (with Missoni ponchos for $1000 nbd). It was originally $360 and I got it for $120! And I will probably wear it for the next 10 years. It's epic and classic.
I drove back on Friday and surprisingly had a great drive! Below are some exclusive pics from the showroom! More are on fb! It's so weird to be back in Knoxville, but good news I'm starting a new fashion blog soon! I haven't decided on a name yet but be checking facebook for when I start it! Hope you've enjoyed Emma's NYC Summer of Fashion!
